The present invention relates to a detergent composition containing a vegetable biosurfactant obtained from corn and comprising a hydrophobic fraction consisting of fatty acids and a protein fraction, which allows it to be water soluble. Fatty acids found in the hydrophobic moiety is palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid and / or elaidic acid and linoleaidico. It is also observed that this biosurfactant with no foam which could be used as a surfactant, non-foaming, in the preparation of cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food products; as well as in many industrial processes where it is desired to avoid foaming.
