FACTORES DE INFLUENCIA EN LOS MECANISMOS DE FALLO DE ACEROS ESTRUCTURALES GALVANIZADOS

RESUMEN En el presente trabajo se muestran los ultimos avances realizados en la comprension de los mecanismos de fallo durante la galvanizacion en caliente de aceros estructurales. Se analiza el problema y se muestran los ultimos resultados obtenidos por los autores en la determinacion y modelizacion de los factores determinantes de la fragilizacion de los aceros estructurales durante la galvanizacion. Esos resultados se centran en: Perdida de propiedades mecanicas de los aceros a 450oC (temperatura de galvanizacion), influencia de las etapas previas a la galvanizacion e influencia de los aleantes Sn, Pb y Bi. ABSTRACT This paper shows the new achievements in the comprehension of failure mechanisms during hot-dip galvanizing of structural steels. The problem and its evolution are explained, and the last obtained results about factors that make easier the structural steels embrittlement during galvanization are shown. These results are the following: A decrease of the steel mechanical properties at 450oC (galvanization temperature), the influence of the galvanizing previous steps and the the influence of the alloys in the Zn bath, specially Sn, Pb and Bi.
