Modulation Period Resampling Technique Against Multiple PFM Interferers for Single Antenna GNSS Receivers

2020
In this letter, we aim to suppress multiple periodic frequency modulation (PFM) interferences using a single-antenna receiver. By exploiting the generalized periodicity of PFM interfering signals, we propose a modulation period resampling technique to segment the received signal into groups. It can concentrate the wideband energy of PFM interferences into a few frequency points in the resampled data. And an adaptive data truncation technique is introduced to estimate an appropriate data truncation length for reducing the frequency spectrum leakage. Then, we adopt the frequency-domain blanking (FDB) technique to excise the interferences in the resampled data. Simulation results show that the proposed method can deal with more interferences and has little influence on GNSS signals by concentrating the wideband interference energy into a few frequency points for excision.
