Robustness Analysis of Space-time Coding in High Speed Railway Communication System

With the rapid development of high speed railway(HSR), people intensively have the demand of wireless communication with high-quality while traveling by very high speed trains. However, the current communication system for high speed railway is mainly designed under the assumption that the train velocity is a constant, while in fact the train is moving with a time varying velocity. Under these circumstances, there is some deviation between the current system design and its real working status. Therefore, we focus on the robustness in this work and investigate how the performance of the HSR communication system is affected if the train moving velocity is changing where a 2×2 antenna system and the Alamouti space-time coding are employed.
