Experimental study on stress corrosion of X12Cr13 stainless steel in natural gas environment

2020
Abstract Uniform experimental design method is applied to the slow strain rate testing of X12Cr13 stainless steel in natural gas environment. The influence of H2S concentration, CO2 concentration, ambient temperature and pressure on stress corrosion susceptibility are investigated. Through the observation of fracture morphology of the specimens, it is found that the fracture morphology of the specimens is stress corrosion fracture, and there are transgranular, intergranular and mixed fracture. In the fracture energy spectrum analysis, there are many oxides of S and C in the fracture composition, and the content of each element varies greatly with the corrosion environment.
