Year 10 history - making a better world?: How has the movement of peoples shaped the modern world?

Seeking to embed source skills into the Year 10 history program, as Year 10 teachers we took the opportunity for the first assessment to make sources a specific focus. While approximately 80% of our students choose the elective history program in Year 9, there remains a minority that approach Year 10 history having not had the advantage of source analysis practice for more than a year. This scaffold approach - with a BIG QUESTION - mirrored the approach adopted across this unit of study. All work was completed on scaffolds provided and uploaded on the school's teaching and learning platform.
