A method for measuring ammonia of main stream smoke of a cigarette is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps: step a, capturing the ammonia in the main stream smoke of the cigarette; using a Cambridge filter plate to capture the ammonia of a particle matter in the main stream smoke; using an adsorbing bottle with 20mL 0.01mol/LHC1 solution to capture the ammonia in the gas; step b, performing pre-treatment on the sample; putting the Cambridge filter plate capturing the smoke particle matter to a container; adding 20mL 0.01mol/LHC1; putting the container on an oscillator to perform oscillation for 40min; getting 5ml of a particle matter extract liquor and a gas phase adsorbing solution respectively; mixing solutions in the container uniformly; getting the ammonia manufacturing solution in the main stream smoke of the cigarette; step c, filtering the ammonia manufacturing solution through a 0.45um micro-film; analyzing by a continuous flowing analyzer, wherein the measuring time for each sample lasts for 2min; and the method can measure the ammonia release amount in the main stream smoke of the cigarette.
