On the Enlightenment of Functionalist Approaches

The functionalist approaches of translation originated in the 1970s in Germany.They had carried on the reasonable aspects of the traditional theories and broken their restraint,which are very practical.As a result,they provided a new translation studying thinking for the whole world of translation.This paper introduces the main theories of the four representative figures and what enlightenment we can draw from them.
