A method for frame synchronization of a reception signal

The invention relates to a method for frame-synchronising a receive signal with a signal structure which has successive signal frames, each with a test sequence and a data sequence. According to said method, the receive signal is constantly correlated with a reference signal and the correlation signal is subdivided into segments which are the same length as the signal frames. An averaged correlation signal segment for evaluation is then generated by assembling successive correlation signal segments. Said segments are preferably assembled after the prior generation of the absolute-value squares and by means of recursive averaging. The position of a test sequence within the averaged correlation signal segment is preferably established by maximum detection.
