A bone graft material for mixing with a blood product to yield a bone replacement material, the bone graft material granules synthetic bone material, comprising at least one of which has a solid coating comprising a coagulant blood, where: the mass of blood coagulating agent in the bone graft material is 2% or more of the combined mass of blood coagulating agent and the synthetic bone material; mass synthetic bone material in the bone graft material is 90% or more of the combined mass of blood coagulating agent and the synthetic bone material; and blood coagulating agent is at least one of zeolite and calcium chloride.
