Method of Evaluating the Effect of Airborne Infrared Decoy

The characteristic of airborne infrared decoy is analyzed,and the model of infrared decoy is built.The mathematical model of missile guidance loop is developed,based on the models of tracking system,guidance and control system,missile kinematics equation,and so on.In the navigation flight of the missile,the geometry among the decoy,the aircraft,and the tracker is analyzed to determine the location and velocity of the infrared centroid.The three-dimensional flight simulation is accomplished under classic encounter scenarios.Consequently,the miss distance distribution due to decoy intensity,launch velocity,and launch interval is derived when the aircraft is deploying many groups of decoys at intervals.The example and results show that the method is effective and reasonable.
