PV Cell Performance with Varying Temperature Levels

This research is centered at the overall performance of solar photovoltaic (PV) cell under distinctive temperature stages. More than the absolute zero Kelvin temperature is considered for PV cell electrical parameters measurement. The electrical parameters include maximum output power (P max ), voltage at open circuit (V oc ) and current at short circuit (I sc ) conditions. The lowest and highest temperatures recorded in India, preferred test conditions (STC) are considered for comparison of PV performance. The simulation results are done in MATLAB for different electrical parameters with different temperature and irradiation variations. The maximum power output, efficiency, V oc decreases with the raise in temperature and simultaneously I sc increases.
