Study of Demand of Hybrid Electric Vehicles in China

The application of hybrid cars in China has entered the critical period of industrialization of scientific research. It is necessary to study the influencing factors on demand of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) and the impacts of the prevalence of HEVs on power grid. In the paper, the influencing factors on demand of HEVs are surveyed, and the relationships between influencing factors is summarized to outline the various positive and negative feedback loops that influence the demand of HEVs. Then we select two influencing factors, based on which market model and power load forecasting model are established, respectively. The models are beneficial to analyze the impacts on demand of HEVs quantitatively. Finally, it is concluded that sudden change of power load caused by charging of HEVs should be forecasted in time, in case it cause harm to the grid or lead to energy waste.
