Gevaş Yöresinden Selekte Edilmiş Bazı Cevizlerin (Juglans regia L.) Pomolojik Özellikleri ve Makro-Mikro Element Düzeyleri

In this study, physical, chemical and soil characteristics of promising 20 walnut types selected in Gevas (Van) county and its district was determined. Fruit weights of walnut were found between 10.11 and16.20 g; kernel weights 5.21 and7.45 g and kernel colours 50% and 100%. Oil content of types ranged from 54.89% to 68.20, protein contents varied between 12.11% and 23.43%, and ash ratios were determined between 1.62% and 3.21%. Average N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Mn and Zn content of fruits were found 0.208%, 0.019%, 0.041%, 90.3 mg, 124.8 mg, 1.20 mg, 1.76 mg and 2.69,respectively. In soil analyses of trees, soils were determined generally as light alkaline, medium and high calcareous. In term of salinity, the soils were good, organic material, useful P and N were enough and K content was high.
