Comparison of Two Stabilized FETD methods Based on Triangle Elements

When dealing with curved electromagnetic models, irregular elements are best choice to fit the geometric shape. The paper implements the unconditionally stable finite element time domain with triangle elements. And the performances of two different unconditionally stable methods are compared. The electromagnetic radiation problem of the target containing curved edges with fine structures is analyzed. Compared with the Newmark-beta method, the unconditionally stable FETD has higher efficiency for problems with fine structures when the time step is determined properly.
