Display device inspection tool and inspection method

The invention relates to the technical field of display, and discloses a display device inspection tool and inspection method. The inspection tool comprises a tool body. The tool body forms a position limiting groove used for position limiting of a display device to be detected, and the tool body is provided with a welding point test part which is corresponding to the backlight source golden finger of the display device. The welding point test part is provided with test point pairs which are corresponding to the welding points of the backlight source golden finger in a one-to-one way. As for each set of the corresponding test point pair and the welding point, the test point pair comprises two test points which are electrically connected with the welding point; as for every two adjacent test point pairs, a lead connected in series with an indicating lamp is arranged between one test point of one test point pair and one test point of another test point pair; the test points arranged at one end are electrically connected with the positive electrode of a power supply along the series connection direction of all the test points in multiple test point pairs, and the test points arranged at the other end are electrically connected with the negative electrode of the power supply. Fixed point testing of the welding part is realized through the circuit principle, fault points are detected and poor welding is effectively intercepted.
