Study on Cascade Hydropower Stations Coordinated Optimal Scheduling Model Considering Transmission Section Capacity Limitation and Target Generation

2018
A high proportion of hydropower grids have been formed in the southwestern region. In the flood season, hydropower projects crowd out the transmission channels, affecting the safety of the grid and causing serious spilled water electrity. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a coordinated optimal scheduling model for cascade hydropower stations considering transmission section capacity limitation and target generation. The model takes the largest amount of power generation and the minimum amount of spilled water electricity as the objective function, and considers the transmission section capacity limitation as well as the power generation target quantity constraint. To solve this model, the nonlinear constraints are transformed into linear constraints, thus facilitating the solution. At last, case study is carried out on a provincial power grid located in Southwest of China. The results show that the proposed method can handle complex transmission constraints, and use the different regulation ability of hydropower plants to achieve greater total electricity absorption and effectively reduce spilled water electricity.
