INVESTIGATING INTO THE LEARNING PROCESS OF NANOSCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CONCEPTS BASED ON THE CONSTRUCTIVIST LEARNING APPROACH

This study has aimed to investigate the learning process based on the constructivism approach through a designed activity, including two hands-on learning for teaching the concepts of nano-fabrication approaches. The obtained results showed that 1) the designed activity was successful toward constructing a new knowledge about nano fabrication approaches; 2) the constructed knowledge gradually improved and developed during the sharing knowledge in groups, and completed by the teacher's guidance; 3) the cases led to misconceptions had been extremely rare, which was also knowledge exchange, dialogue and conversation, and teachers' guidance have modified it; 4) the constructed knowledge in the first hands-on learning was applied in other learning situations of second hands-on learning, e.g. providing creative solutions on leading issues and asked tasks.
