Peculiarities of magnetic properties in ferrimagnets with antiferromagnetic intra-sublattice exchange interaction

Magnetic phase diagrams and magnetization curves of a two-sublattice anisotropic ferrimagnet with antiferromagnetic exchange interaction in one of its sublattices are calculated. The developed model is applied to account for the magnetic properties of RMn 2 Ge 2 type compounds. Experimental facts going beyond the scope of the model are discussed.
