The article briefly describes the present state of development of the AMOS system and the technical solution of the AMS-8 monitoring equipment. These were developed by ETOS in cooperation with the TRANSGAS company. The AMOS monitoring system uses an electroacoustic principle. Its advantage is a very quick detection and localization of leakages, specially of those having a pre-breakdown and breakdown character. Monitoring equipment AMS-8 with the developed software enables also to recognize and localize dangerous impacts on the pipeline as well as not allowed manipulations.
