SUPERAÇÂO DE DORMÊNCIA EM SEMENTES DE JUTAÍ-MIRIM ( Hymenaea parvifolia HUBER)

2016
The Hymenaea parvifolia Huber. is a native forest species of the Amazon Basin, popularly known as jutai-mirim, which is of economic importance due to its use in construction, and as such, this work aimed to evaluate the emergence of jutai-mirim seeds undergoing treatment with budbreak in different substrates. The seeds were submitted to different budbreaks (sulfuric acid: 95-99%) for 20 minutes; water at 25°C for 24 hours and mechanical scarification) and different substrates (subsoil/sand and subsoil/sawdust) at a proportion of 2:1, with four replications of 25 seeds per treatment. The experimental design was a factorial 3 x 2 scheme (dormancy breaks x substrate), with four replications, and the experimental unit consisted of 25 seeds. The parameters analyzed were percentage, average time and emergence speed index. Considering the parameters evaluated, the ideal conditions for Hymenaea parvifolia emergence was treatment with subsoil / sand and budbreak with sulfuric acid and scarification, since they showed better results. Taking into account the final size of the seedling, the treatments with dormancy breaking and substrates highlighted above provide better development and are those most recommended for the production of jutai-mirim seedlings.
