Ensuring Quality in Time Cost Trade off -- Problems in Crashing a Project

2008
In order to meet the project due date, sometimes one needs to expedite the project. It means that some activities must be done faster than normal. Crashing an activity saves time but increases the cost. Thus there must be a time cost trade off. Can crashing -- activities ensure or maintain project quality? In this paper, we propose a new model that incorporates the quality rejection rate in the time cost trade off decision. This paper -- helps project management practitioners to schedule crash activities more realistically.
