Preliminary research report on cycocel (CCC) regulating shoot growth of "Kyoho" grape.

2013
【Objective】We researched the effects of cycocel(CCC) at different concentrations on one-year-two-harvest "Kyoho" grape shoot growth to provide solutions for dropped flowers and fruits as well as low yield caused by the summer grape fruit excessive vegetative growth. 【Method】Six-year-old scaffolding-cultivated "Kyoho" grapes were used as test materials. The shoots were processed with different concentrations of(CCC) at the volume ratio of 300 times, 500times and 750 times and sprayed clean water as control to analyze the effects of(CCC) on accelerating germination time, new shoot length with different growth potential, new shoot roughness of the sixth node, and section spacing of the tenth node.【Result】After the vigorous branch germinated on 13thJan was treated by 300 times of(CCC), 500 times and 750 times, the new shoot length on the 28 d was 130.60, 148.67 and 143.47 cm, significantly shorter than that of the control. The results from 300 times were extremely significantly different from those of the control and significantly different from those of 500 times and 750 times. After the moderate vigor branch germinated on 6thJan was treated by 300 times, the new shoot length on the 28 d(111.14 cm)was shorter than that of 750 times and the control. The difference was significant. After the moderate vigor branch germinated on 13thJan was treated by 300 times of(CCC), the new shoot length(106.67cm)was evidently shorter than that of the control. After the new shoot grown from the vigorous branch on 13thJan was treated by 300 times of chlormequat, the sixth new node diameter on the 28 d(10.42 mm)was evidently higher than that of the control. After the new shoot grown from the moderate vigor branch on 13thJan was treated by 300 times of(CCC),the sixth new node diameter on the 7 d(8.36 mm)was evidently higher than that of the control and the other two treatments. The difference was significant. The sixth new node diameter on the 28 d(8.19 mm)was evidently higher than that of the control and the difference was significant. The two germination dates and concentrations of(CCC) after 7 days had no obvious variation on the tenth node spacing but branch roughness was promoted. 【Conclusion 】(CCC) especially 300times of(CCC) could hinder the excessive growth of new grape shoots, hence it should be used for grape shoot growth control in the spring.
