A simple theoretical relation for calculating relaxation time τmix of binary mixtures of polar solutes in dilute solutions of non-polar solvents

A simple theoretical method based on Debye's equation for manipulating relaxation time of a binary mixture involving two polar components from the knowledge of the relaxation times of the constituent components, has been presented. The relation is tested on eleven binary systems containing thirty three compositions and is found to predict results within 10 per cent of the experimental values
