The yellow phosphor Ca8Mg (SiO4)4Cl2:Eu2+,Mn2+ is synthesized by solid state reaction of CaO, CaCl2, MgO, SiO2, Eu2O3, and MnO (25% H2/75% N2, 900—1200 °C, 3 h).
