Parametric modeling research on vibration mode of a total temperature and pressure measuring rake

2018
In the process of the engine vibration test, its total temperature and pressure is obtained majorly by measuring rake or measuring head. When the frequency of measuring rake is close to the inherent frequency of engine or flow excitation frequency, it is easy to produce resonance, and even damage the measuring rake. In the paper, the size of head model is optimized, and a head model is also designed to be a cantilever beam is designed. And then the inherent natural frequency and vibration mode are extracted to discuss the relationship between the excitation frequencies of structure. The finite element software ANSYS is applied to establish the parametric model of measuring rake, and the natural frequency with the variation of each parameter is also studied. From the analysis results, it can be seen that the radius change of measuring rake can directly affect the first two order frequencies, up to 10Hz with the change of 0.1mm. While the frequency change can be more obvious if the length changes over 1mm. The results can provide reference for improving the design size of measuring rake, so as to avoid the subsequent resonance damage.
