In this work accelerated heating by the electrical contact method was used in thermal cycling treatment of titanium alloys (VT23 and VT22) with an original coarse-grained structure. The microstructure of the alloys was investigated by metallographic and X-ray diffraction analyses. In addition the hardness was measured and the fracture toughness determined
