Analysis and Countermeasures of Rural Highway Operating Safety in Central Region of China

This paper discusses the current operating status of rural highways, bridges, vehicles, and problems encountered in different regions. The authors comprehensively consider the masses' evaluation of the overall service of the rural roads; propose vulnerabilities which tend to be neglected in daily management of rural highway. Finally, they conclude with suggestions to improve rural highway operating safety, which may provide references for the road safety management and propaganda.
