Crescimento inicial de Bombacopsis glabra (Pasq.) A. Robyns com diferentes substratos

2018
The conservation and sustainable use of Cerrado areas also depends on basic knowledgeabout the development and adaptation of the species occurring in this. Bombacopsis glabra(Pasq.) Is a tree species of the Bombacaceae family, which has the potential to be used inheterogeneous reforestations destined to the reconstitution of the recovery of degraded areas, for attracting birds and other animals that feed on their seeds. The objective of this work is toevaluate the effect of different substrates on height, stem diameter and chlorophyll index inyoung plants of Chestnut-do-Maranhao under shading of 30%. The design was completelyrandomized (DIC) with 6 treatments composed of 6 different concentrations of substrates, 4replicates and 3 replicates. The substrates S1 and S5 presented higher mean height, the substrateconcentration S6 presented a larger mean diameter with 7.66 mm, differing statisticallyfrom the substrate S2 with a mean diameter of 6.01 mm. The substrate S6 can be used for theinitial production of Bombacopsis glabra (Pasq.) Seedlings indicating a medium conducive tothe growth and development of seedlings in relation to the concentrations of substrates and theshading to which they were inserted.
