Digital transformation of education in Slovakia within the context of European documents

Previous efforts to digital transformation of education have not yielded impact analysis and sustainability. Promoting systematic and sustainable change should be based on teachers and their interaction with students. Pupils' digital literacy should be part of the graduate's profile. The transformation should include high-quality digital infrastructure, its systematic development and constant state support. The bearers of the transformation will be, above all, universities preparing future teachers. The context for the proposal of digital transformation of education in Slovakia are European documents as is Digital Education Action Plan, European skills agenda, Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp), Digital Competence Framework for Educators (DigCompEdu), European Framework for Personal, Social and Learning to Learn Key Competence (LifeComp) and other program and conceptual materials. Digital transformation of education should vigorously built a path to the School of digital excellence, which develops the digital skills and competencies of the main actors in education and supports the professional development of teachers enabling them to use wisely the digital technologies for increasing the quality of education.
