Revisión sistemática de los estudios efectuados sobre el entrenamiento del CrossFit en la base de datos Pub Med durante los años 2016-2019

Objective: To determine the object, type of study and age range that have been used in crossfit research in the Pub Med database in the years 2016 to 2019. Methods: A systematic review desk study was carried out. The Pub Med database was used to search for information. The study variable was crossfit. The MeSH term in English was: [Crossfit training for sport]. 18 potential studies were identified in the years 2016 to 2019. Results: In relation to the object of study, 5 categories have been identified: sports injuries (n = 7), supplementation (n = 5), self-perception in psychology (n = 3), physical performance (n = 2), normative values ​​(n = 1). Regarding the types of study, cross-sectional studies (n = 10), experimental (control and experimental group) (n = 6) and longitudinal (n = 2). The age ranges range from 13 to 74 years.Three studies were carried out in children under 17 years of age, twelve between 18 and 53 years old, and three studies in people over 53 years of age. Conclusion: The study topics in the last five years focus on sports injuries and the supplementation of ergogenic resources; in addition, the age range is mostly limited between young people and adults from 18 to 53 years old.
