Analysis of fruit quality of local Myrica rubra varieties in Guizhou.

The results from comparative analysis of fruit quality between 8 local Myrica rubra varieties and 2 cultivation Myrica rubra varieties in Guizhou for providing reference for selection,breeding and improvement of local Myrica rubra in Guizhou showed that the fruit shape index of 5 local Myrica rubra varieties was higher than cultivation Myrica rubra varieties,the fruit eatable rate of local Myrica rubra varieties was lower than cultivation Myrica rubra varieties,the single fruit weight of Jidan(a local variety) was the highest(16.17g),The soluble solids,VC and total sugar content in fruits of Huotan(a local variety) was higher than two cultivation variety,the myricinicacid content in fruits of Jiubei(a local variety)was lower than Biqi(a cultivation variety) and the total sugar content in fruits of Jinhuang(a local variety) was higher than Dongkui(a cultivation variety).
