Highly effective agents which act very well against pimples and yet are extremely well tolerated, have a content of benzoic acid and / or its salts, and salicylic acid and / or salts thereof, wherein the total amount of benzoic acid and benzoates in the composition, based on the weight of the composition 0.2 to 0.7 wt .-% and the total amount of salicylic acid and salicylates in the composition, based on the weight of the composition 0.2 to 0.7 wt .-% by weight.
