예비 음악교사의 세계시민성 함양을 위한 음악 수업 사례연구: 갈등과 화해를 중심으로

2021
The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of music education serving as global citizenship education through an in-depth analysis of what prospective music teachers have experienced in music classes and how they have developed their social awareness. The conclusions drawn from the qualitative analysis are as follows: First, participants appeared to have “re-discovered” the universal problem of conflict through their first project, “Sound of Conflict”. Through empirical learning, which re-recognizes conflicts and realizes that the main agent of change for co-prosperity and coexistence is myself, the teachers were able to see themselves through establishing their self-identity as an inclusive global citizen. Second, participants showed how individuals can encounter common good by choosing to coexist with others and trying to find a solution to resolve conflicts of ideology from a national and global community perspective through the second project, “Sound of Reconciliation”. The teachers believe that they could change the world when they know, empathize, imagine, and take action regarding the conflicts of the world, through musically experiencing and feeling the lives of others who are suffering on the other side or the world.
