Capillary gas chromatography with head-space injector for determination of residual solvents in gemfibrozil

Objective:To establish a simple capillary gas chromatography method with heads space injector for the a- nalysis of residual methyl acetate,tetrahydrofuran,and isobuthyl isobutate in gemfibrozil.Method:The method includ- ed chromatogram systems,using DB-WAX quartz capillary column(0.53mm×30m×1μm)with procedural col- umn temperature control was established.Nitrogen gas was used as carrier gas and FID as detector,using AGC head- space injection.Results:The linearities were fairly good(r0.9997).The recoveries were 100.6%,99.4%,99.8%, respectively.The minimum detection concentrations were 0.194,0.195 and 0.509μg·mL(-1),respectively.Conclu- sion:The method is sensitive and accurate,and suitable for determination of residual solvents in gemfibrozil.
