Analysis of isozyme diversities in the cultivar resources of Mei flower (Prunus mume)

In this paper 114 cultivars of Mei flower (Prunus mume) were analyzed by Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE) for isozyme of POX, EST, alpha-AMY, MDH, SOD and CAT. In the results the isozyme diversities of the cultivas of Mei flower are very obvious, and both the species characteristic bands and variation bands are coexisted in most of patterns. All the results reflect the isozyme diversities of the cultivar resources of Mei flower. Meanwhile there are some differences between the isozyme results and other markers.
