Effect of MDT nursing mode in perioperative nursing of colon cancer patients

2018
Objective To explore the effect of multidisciplinary collaboration (MDT) nursing mode in perioperative nursing of colon cancer patients. Methods A total of 40 patients admitted for colon cancer surgery from October 2014 to April 2016 were selected as the observation group, and a multidisciplinary collaborative nursing program was implemented. The 40 patients received and treated by routine nursing from January 2013 to June 2014 were the control group. The operation tolerance, the incidence of postoperative complications, wound the healing time, the incidence of anastomotic fistula, total hospitalization time and the score of nursing satisfaction of two the groups were compared and the datas between the two groups were analyzed. Results The difference in surgical tolerance, incidence of complications, wound healing time, total hospitalization time, and satisfaction scores of discharged patients was statistically significant between the observation group that implemented the MDT nursing mode and the control group before the implementation(P 0.05). Conclusion The implementation of MDT nursing model in perioperative nursing of patients with colon cancer can significantly improve the operation tolerance and reduce the incidence of complications, shorten the wound healing time, reduce hospitalization time.It makes full use of medical resources to the hospital, provides medical care service quality, enhances the rate of discharged patients' satisfaction. It is worthy of promotion.
