gene construct, vector and DNA vaccine for vaccinating aquatic animals.

2004
gene construct, vector and DNA vaccine for vaccinating aquatic animals. The gene construct comprises a nucleic acid sequence encoding an immunogenic peptide of a pathogen of an aquatic animal under the control of a control sequence of expression capable of directing the expression of said immunogenic peptide in an aquatic animal comprising the sequence of a cytomegalovirus (CMV) linked to an expression enhancer sequence 5 '. The vector comprises said gene construct and can be used in the preparation of DNA vaccines useful in preventing infectious diseases in aquatic animals, especially of interest in aquaculture. Such vaccines are useful for mass vaccination of aquatic animals using an immersion-sonication process.
