Scheduling activity based on hybrid manufacturing systems

2012
This work sets itself the target of defining a model to manage production in a "No Perfect" System. It often happens that a product does not meet the required specifications. This aspect could increase when switching between simple and compound objects from one piece to more complex products. Flowed products that interrupt the continuity of the production flow, must be converted, through reworking processes, in products that meet the market demands. During a "no perfect" production, the flowed articles, contained in their outputs, could be reworked, rejected, subject to other corrective processes or sold at reduced prices. The result, however, represents an increase in costs. For this reason, by this paper, we would build a simulation model, able to minimize the total cost, and a decision support system to improve the management of "no perfect" production processes.
