Melanoma uveal: Braquiterapia

Brachytherapy is the most widespread conservative treatment for uveal melanoma. Different types of radioactive isotopes are available that can be used in brachytherapy. In this chapter we try to explain the characteristics of these isotopes, the indication of brachytherapy in uveal melanoma, the surgical technique as well as the follow-up of patients and the main post-treatment complications.
