Stem cells - a diabetes cure?

Stem cells develop into many different cell types in the body during early life and growth. In many tissues, they act as an internal repair system, dividing to replace old or damaged cells. When a stem cell divides, each new cell remains a stem cell or becomes another type of cell, such as a muscle cell, red blood cell, brain cell, etc.
