Application of continuous epidural anesthesia combined with propofol in cesarean section and its effect on postpartum restlessness

2019
Objective To explore the application of continuous epidural anesthesia combined with propofol in cesarean section and its effect on postpartum restlessness. Methods 80 women taking caesarean section at our hospital between January, 2016 and January, 2019 were selected, and were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, 40 for each group. The control group took cesarean section under epidural anesthesia, and the study group applied continuous epidural anesthesia combined with propofol in cesarean section. The conditions during and after the operation in both groups were observed and recorded. Results The heart rate, blood pressure, and average arterial pressure during operation were (80.5±10.3) beats/min, (110.5±15.4) mmHg, and (90.1±12.4) mmHg in the study group, which were lower than those in the control group (all P 0.05). The incidences of restlessness, anxiety, hyperactivity, and mental depression were lower in the study group than in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion In clinical, application of continuous epidural anesthesia combining propofol in cesarean section is sedatively effective and conducive for the operation success, and can effectively reduce the occurrence of postoperative restlessness and anxiety and reduce the time of maternity recovery, so it is worth being clinically generalized.
