Tamm Problem And Terahertz Radiation In Nonlinear Optics

We report on the remarkable similarities between the generation of terahertz(THz) radiation by nonlinear conversion in a slab and the radiation mechanism involving moving external charges, as discussed in the Tammn Problem. The predictions of the theory are validated by experimental observations.
