OZET KORONER ARTER HASTALIĞINDA PLAZMA HOMOSISTEIN, FIBRINOJEN VE FIBRIN YIKIM URUNLERI ARASINDAKI ILIŞKI Yuksek homosistein (Hey) ve fibrinojen seviyeleri aterotrombotik kardiyovaskuler hastaliklar icin onemli ve bagimsiz risk faktorleridir. Bu calismada plazma Hey seviyeleri ile fibrinojen ve fibrin yikim urunleri arasindaki iliski koroner arter hastaligi olan 60 hasta ve 40 saglikli bireyde arastirildi. Total plazma homosistein seviyeleri HPLC, fibrinojen seviyeleri koagulometre ve fibrin yikim urunleri de ELIZA yontemi ile olculdu. Hasta grubunda Hey seviyeleri kontrol gruba oranla daha yuksek bulundu. Diger yandan fibrinojen ve fibrin yikim urunleri seviyelerinde kontrol grubu ile hasta grubu arasinda bir farka rastlanilmadi. Plazma Hey seviyeleri ile tikali koroner arter sayisi arasinda onemli bir korelasyon saptandi (p<0.001, r:0.81). Plazma Hey, fibrinojen ve fibrin yikim urunleri arasinda onemli bir korelasyona rastlanmadi. Sonuc olarak yuksek plazma Hey seviyelerinin koroner arter hastaligi icin sadece bagimsiz bir risk faktoru degil ayni zamanda hastaligin derecesini gosterebilen bir faktor oldugu soylenebilir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Homosistein, fibrinojen, fibrin yikim urunleri, koroner arter hastaligi SUMMARY THE RELATIONSHIP OF PLASMA HOMOCYSTEINE, FIBRINOGEN AND FIBRIN DEGRADATION PRODUCTS IN CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE High levels of homoeysteine (Hey) and fibrinogen are significant independent, prothrombotic risk factor for atherothrombotic cardiovascular disease. The relationship of plasma Hey and fibrinogen and fibrin degradation produets were investigated in 60 patients with coronary vascular disease and in 40 healthy volunteer. Total plasma Hey levels were measured by HPLC, fibrinogen levels were measured by coagulometry and fibrin degredation produets level were measured by ELISA. There were an inerease in Hey in patient group as compared to control. On the other hand, fibrinogen and fibrin degradation produets did not exert any difference from control. A significant correlation was found between plasma Hey levels and stenotic coronary arter numbers (p<0.001, r:0.81). Correlation analysis have shown no significant relation between plasma Hey and fibrinogen/fibrin degradation produet. On this basis it can be concluded that high plasma Hey levels are not only independent risk factor for coronary artery disease but also good predictor for the severity of disease.
