The clinical obsevation of small-incision non-phacoemulisification catract extraction and IOL implantation in high myopia patients with cataract

2011
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of small incision non-phacoemulisification catract extraction and IOL implantation in high myopia patients with cataract. Methods 56 cases(78 eyes)of high myopia with cataract were involved in this study. Each patient had been performed small incision nonphacoemulsification cataract surgery and IOL implantation. The vision and complications were observed. Results After operation, all patients were followed up for 6-12 months. The postoperative vision were≤0.08 in 3 eyes(3.85%);0.1-0.3(14.10%)in 11 eyes;);0.4-0.6(65.38%)in 51 eyes;better than 0.6 in 13eyes(16.67%).Posterior capsule ruputered during the operations in 2 eyes(2.56%),corneal edema happened in 8 eyes(10.26%)on the first day after operation.Other postoperative complieations included:delayed uveitis in 9 eyes(11.54%),posterior capsular opaeifieation in 17 eyes(21.79%)and retinal detachment in 1 eye(1.28%).Conclusion Small-incision non-phacoemulisification catract extraction and IOL implantation in high myopia patients with cataract has the advantages of faster vision recovery, fewer complications, shorter operating time and less cost.
