Evaluation of the First-class Engineering Discipline Construction: A Method Based on D-Number Preference Relation Matrix

The evaluation method of D-number preference matrix theory can overcome the inaccuracy of evaluation results caused by the uncertainty of experts’ evaluation opinions in traditional evaluation. This paper takes the evaluation of the construction effect of first-class engineering discipline as the research object. First of all, the evaluation system of the construction effectiveness of first-class engineering discipline oriented to discipline performance is constructed. Then, a new MCDM method is proposed, which is the evaluation method of D-number preference relation matrix. By setting ideal values and taking them as the benchmark, the preference relationship among evaluation objects is obtained, and then the evaluation model of the construction effectiveness of first-class engineering discipline oriented to the discipline performance is constructed. Finally, a case study of material science and engineering disciplines in three universities is carried out to obtain the rank of the effectiveness evaluation of the discipline construction and the different evaluation values which varies with the difference degree $\lambda$. The research results verify the reliability and effectiveness of the established evaluation model, make the evaluation results of each evaluation object independent and stable, innovate the evaluation method of first-class discipline construction effectiveness, and expand the application range of D-number preference relation matrix.
