Research progress of malignant phenotypic transcription factors in colorectal cancer

2020
Colorectal cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in China. Its characteristics include high incidences of metastasis, recurrence, and drug resistance can make clinical treatment difficult. Many researchers have found that transcription factors play important roles in colorectal cancer, and they are widely over-expressed in colorectal cancer tissues and participate in the regulation of cancer cell proliferation, migration and drug resistance. These transcription factors may be potential therapeutic targets for colorectal cancer. Studying the regulatory mechanisms of those transcription factors provide a solid theoretical and experimental basis for clinical treatment of colorectal cancer. This review summarizes the research progress in transcription factors related to malignant phenotype in colorectal cancer. Key words: Colorectal cancer; Transcription factor; Drug resistance; Metastasis; Diagnosis; Prognosis
