Laparoscopic gonadectomy in two patients with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome

1994
ABSTRACT Patients with Morris syndrome are genetic males with female phenotype who have a 25% chance of developing a malignancy in the dysgenetic gonad. Gonadectomy at laparotomy has always been the elective procedure in patients with complete testicular feminization. We performed the same intervention at laparoscopy in 2 patients. A shorter operating time and less postoperative care are required, the risk of infective complications is lower, and psychologic stress is less. (J GYNECOL SURG 10:259, 1994)
