Poly-α-naphthalene oxide-pyrrole: A new electro-chemically-generated conducting polymer

1989
Abstract The electrochemical properties of BF 4 -doped poly-α-naphthalene oxide-pyrrole, a new conducting copolymer, are reported here. This interesting new conducting polymer is found to store up to about 18% of charge. Measurements of the electrical conductivity, o, of this organic conducting polymer as a function of temperature indicate that the charge transport occurs via a variable-range hopping mechanism.
