Research on Deep Hole Processing Technology and Equipment of EMU Hollow Axle

Aiming at axial deviation and surface roughness which are difficult to guarantee in EMU hollow axle drilling. This paper analyzes processing technic and machining equipment on the basis of structure and material properties. It solves the problem of BTA single tooth drilling's skewing by using support frames and guide sleeves. Using " second honing" to guarantee hole surface roughness is based on processing technology. The results show that the straightness can reach 0. 05mm / m and the inner surface roughness can be achieved Ra(0. 2-0. 4) μm when the technology is taken in processing EMU hollow axle hole. Both are able to reach the corresponding technical requirements. EMU hollow axle is non-defective after being tested,conforming to the standard.
